IP city location

Now that I have a process to get the nethandle for differnet IP address ranges I can now look at the ARIN Whois data and find the city, state, zipcode and country for that IP address range.

I’m currently only looking at IP ranges that have 256 or less IPs in them, figuring that anything larger then that runs the chance of being an ISP or at the very least the location will be off for most of the range.

As of this morning I have 661 nethandles that have 131,824 IPs in them. These are mostly in the US and Canada at the moment, but that doesn’t supprise me either.
