Using your own Page Rank to increase your Page Rank

Google’s Page Rank technology is no secret these days. In fact it has become a bit of a pain as people try to come up with methods to increase their page rank while somehow cheating the system as a whole. The basic premise of the Page Rank is the idea that each page on the Internet is (partially) judged by the number and quality link to it from other websites. (Believe me that is the over simplified short course) If the idea of better ranking on Google is to increase your Page Rank, then doesn’t it follow that it is good to increase the Page Rank of the sites that link to you? Since each PageRank is calculated based on the pages that link to it, if you link to a page that links to you the PageRank of both sites must be recalculated each time the Google search engine spider visits either page. Each time the PageRank is calculated it is taking into consideration the Page Rank of every page that link to the one it is working on. What happens if your Page Rank is greater then the page that link to you? Well, the Page Rank of the page that links to you will go up if you link back to it. (only after google recalculates) Eventually when google gets back to recalculating your Page Rank it will be higher, because you increased the Page Rank of the pages that link to you. Relevancy is and always has been an important key to Google’s Algorithms. If the pages you are linking to are not relevant to your site, you will not get good traffic and your Page Rank could end up suffering due to dilution. Choose your links carefully and make sure the person who you link to does as well. If you are both dedicated to creating sites that are well represented in your topic then you can help each other grow as your Page Rank increases.
