SpiderList
A good spider list is necessary for any cloaking script or spider checker script. A cloaking script needs this list of known spiders to identify whether the Visitor is a search engine spider.
The spider checker script needs the spider list to create spider signatures in order to identify new search engine spiders.
Many people have been coming to SpiderHunter.com for years to find the spider list. Although the list is now defunct, I am working on creating a new site that will explain how to track IP addresses for more then just spiders. I want the site to be used to help track spammers and hackers as well.
Beyond the tracking I will be discussing geolocation and geocoding so tha tyou can use the information to know wher eyour visitors are based.
I’m hoping to get this project moving again soon and I hope to see you there as well.
